Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

General Guidelines

Jurnal Ada Pustaka: Bahasa, Sastra, dan Pengajaran publishes original research articles, literature reviews, conceptual papers, and reports on educational innovation in the fields of language, literature, and teaching. Manuscripts must not have been previously published or be under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Manuscripts may be written in Indonesian or English using the journal template provided by the editorial board. Authors are encouraged to prepare manuscripts using Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx).

The manuscript should generally consist of 5,000–8,000 words (excluding references and appendices) and be formatted in Times New Roman, 11 pt, single spacing, on A4-sized paper. The page layout uses two columns, while the title, author information, abstract, and keywords are presented in a single-column format.

Page margins should be 3 cm (left and right) and 2 cm (top and bottom).

If the manuscript contains phonetic symbols, linguistic transcription, or special characters, authors are requested to upload an additional PDF version to ensure symbol compatibility.

Manuscript Structure

Research articles should be organized in the following order:

  1. Title
  2. Author(s) and Affiliation(s)
  3. Abstract
  4. Keywords
  5. Introduction
  6. Research Method
  7. Results and Discussion
  8. Conclusion
  9. Acknowledgments (optional)
  10. References

Review or conceptual articles may adapt the structure according to their methodological characteristics.

Title and Author Information

The title should clearly reflect the content of the manuscript and contain no more than 15 words. It should be written in bold, Times New Roman 11 pt, using title case.

The names of all authors should be written below the title without academic degrees or professional titles. Each author's institutional affiliation, city, country, ORCID (if available), and email address must be provided. The corresponding author should be clearly identified.

Abstract

The manuscript must include two abstracts, one in Indonesian and one in English.

Each abstract should contain 150–250 words and briefly describe:

  • Background of the study
  • Research objectives
  • Research methods
  • Main findings
  • Conclusions

The abstract should be written as a single paragraph without citations or abbreviations that are not explained.

Authors should provide 3–5 keywords immediately after the abstract. Keywords should represent the main concepts of the manuscript and be listed alphabetically.

Manuscript Formatting

All section headings should be written in bold, Times New Roman 11 pt.

The first paragraph after each heading is not indented, while subsequent paragraphs use a first-line indentation of 0.75 cm.

Foreign words should be italicized where appropriate.

Numbers below ten should generally be written in words unless they represent statistical values, measurements, percentages, tables, figures, or scientific data.

Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively, include informative captions, and be cited within the text. Images should be of high resolution and suitable for publication.

Citation and References

Jurnal Ada Pustaka: Bahasa, Sastra, dan Pengajaran uses the APA 7th Edition citation and referencing style.

Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, EndNote, or RefWorks.

References should primarily consist of scholarly sources published within the last ten years, with at least 80% originating from peer-reviewed journal articles. All references cited in the text must appear in the reference list, and all references listed must be cited in the manuscript.

Permission to Reuse Published Content

Permission to reuse, reproduce, translate, adapt, or redistribute published materials is automatically granted under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).

Users must:
